What Life Means to Me
For me, life is so simple that there is no need to bother thinking hard about the exact meaning of life. I believe life is what we are born with and live with, to some extent, as Hegel's idea" what is rational is actual and what is actual is rational".
I am a person like the majority of the world. Although I have not made great achievements or bee a heroine who would change the world, I enjoy my present life. I think life means itself. It seems to be quiet. As a result, many people plain their life is boring and meaningless. However, life does have its ups and downs, its peaks and its valleys. Good times alternate with bad. I have learned not to be overjoyed when good things happen to me or fall into deep sorrow when in misfortunes. In no way is life meaningless. It depends on whether the meaning can be found.
On the other hand, life means getting along with family members, friends, or other people around me. I shall be grateful to those who love me, those who support me, and even those who dislike me, for all of them help me to grow up and to appreciate and cherish my life. Moreover, life means pursuing my dream. Some say it is your dream not you clock that wakes you up everyday. That is the truth. Dream or goal gives me the pressure and motivation and a reason why I have to live life in this way. It can be challenging or simple, long term or short term. Anyway, how can I stop since the things I need to do have not been done?
In summary, life means enjoying life from different aspects and making all my experience worthwhile.

Choice in My Life In our daily lives, we have many choices to make: what to eat for supper, what clothes to wear, what to do on weekends… At certain times in our lives, we need to make more critical choices, such as which school to attend, what job to take or who to choose as hu *** and or wife. Yes, life is a matter of choice. Seemingly, it means a choice of tangible things. But in essence, it means choosing a way of life. Life is to be lived, savoured; enjoyed: not wasted or plained about. Hardly can we fet the time when our society faced a grave threat from the life-and-death disease--SARS. Yet, even during those dreadful times, some afflicted people remained optimistic. Instead of wearing neutral white masks, some people turned to colourful ones, and thus displayed a happy mood. Some creative people coined SARS as an acronym for "SMILE AND REMAIN SMILING." I was deeply touched by their optimi *** , nearly fetting that we were still in a battle. People who survive these kinds of circumstances, at some point, decide to carry on: in spite of the overwhelming odds. Every morning when we get up, we have a choice of how we want to approach life that day. As for me, I choose to be cheerful.

Yesterday, we had a discussion. The topic is. What is my dream? Every one has his dream. Some want to be teachers,others want to be scientists. My dream is to bee a doctor.
My friends asked me why. I told them my story. When I was a *** all boy I was very weak. Once I was terribly iii. I had a high fever. My parents sent me to the hospital but the doctors could do nothing for me. Then my parents heard there was a very good doctor in another town. They took me there. I was saved.
A good doctor can save people’s lives. From then on I decided to bee a doctor. I know it is not easy to be a doctor. But I am determined to study hard. I am sure my dream will e true.

My dream school is a fantastic school. The students will have lunch in a cafeteria. No one will waste the food, because we will choose the food we like. And we will have P.E. classes in a large playground. That will make many boys feel exciting. There will be many plants in the school. We’ll have classes in a place like a garden. After class we won’t just sit in the classroom and do homework. We’ll go outside and do anything we like.
I really hope it isn’t a dream. If it is a dream, I also think this dream will e true one day in the future.
