在德国世界杯每场结束时都会播放一首新的球迷音乐，这就是Pet shop boys的《GO WEST》。成立于1981年的“宠物店男孩”(Pet Shop Boys)可算得上是八十年代最后一支也是最成功的电子音乐组合。
这首歌很好听，但是若干年间在大陆是禁播的。因为当时的政治原因和MTV的内容似乎对社会主义国家有所指，所以在当时的社会主义国家都是禁播的。后来随着世界政局的变化。这首歌慢慢演变成了非常有名的足球歌曲。同时也是德国同志电影《夏日风暴》中的插曲。
