It was a sunny day. We decided to have a picnic outside the city. In the morning, we took an early bus to Nanhui. It was quite a colorful world. there were green trees, orange leaves,red peach blossoms. At noon, we reached the place, we sat by the river bank and took out a lot of things, such as bread, orange juice, apples, cakes, eggs and so on. But all of a sudden, it began to rain. Unluckily there was no shelter nearby. We had to take a bus to go back home in a hurry.

What was I doing last night?
Last night was a busy but meaningful night. After having dinner with my family at about 6 p.m., I was going to attend my volunteer programme. I was waiting for bus 15 minutes after dinner. On the bus, I was busy reciting and reviewing for my ing exam next week. When I got to the orphanage, other members of our volunteer group was already waiting there. We were performing shows for the poor orphans in the orphanage. After that, we were playing games with them, which all of us enjoyed. It was such a short but valuable experience for me which allowed me learn about the unfortunate lives of the orphans and I learned to cherish my life. I was returning some books to the neighbourhood library when I was on my way back. It was such a great night.
