不能去掉，正常是talk with a friend 对吧？ 去掉了就变成talk a friend了。
to talk with 是friend的后置定语。
类似的还有 Give me a piece of paper to write on.
I need a knife to cut the rope with.

不能 talk with 是固定搭配 这种东西中国人学经常会忘记加 从句后面经常有改错题也是因为少了这种介词 to talik with是动词不定式 作谓语吧。。。
