创作背景
《Firework》的创作灵感来源于凯蒂·佩里在圣芭芭拉分校读书时的一个病态梦想，她想要在学校的天空上放烟火，同时又希望自己能够变成一颗烟火，可以是活着的也可以是死的。
在创作歌曲之前，凯蒂·佩里的男朋友给她看了一本由杰克·凯鲁亚克著作的小说《在路上》，书中描写了人们像蜜蜂一样忙来忙去，充满活力却从不谈及司空见惯的事情，他们像烟火那样射向空中，使人们发出“啊”的惊叹，她觉得让人们发出“啊”的惊叹就是她的一种座右铭。
