Dear President,

This is Li Hua, the Chairman of School Student Body. I want to write this letter to you to express some of my ideas regarding reading.

A recent research shows that every Chinese man reads 4.3 books on average each year, a number far less than those of our neighboring countries including Japan and Korea. I feel that as the future of our country, students should read more books. So I have some specific suggestions as follows.

Above all, I think the library should be open for the whole day, which can enable students to read whenever they want to. Secondly, we can appeal to teachers and students to donate books. Thirdly, I am wondering whether it is possible to have reading class. Last but not least, we Student Body can hold up Reading Salon every afternnon to offer students a platform to share their reading experiences.

I hope that in the future, students at school all become knowledgeable thanks to reading books!

it's generally considered that reading do a lot of benefit to our students.not only can it make our after-school life more meaningful and corlourful,but it can expand our horizons.as a result,with reading more,we would grow into a better person.
