Gross examination:
Submitted were two pieces of mucosa about 0.2cm across. All embedded in 1 block.
Micro examination:
Section shows two pieces of large intestinal mucosa partly lined by tubular glands displaying mild dysplasia. There is no evidence of malignancy.
Diagnosis:
Large intestine, colonic mucosa,24cm from anal verge, endoscopic biopsy ---- Tubular adenoma with mild dysplasia.
Rectal touch: no lesion was palpated.
Colonoscopy was advanced till ileocecal region. On ascending colon and transverse colon, three tiny sessile polyps were observed, performed cauterization with hot forceps. At distance about 24cm from anal verge, one small sessile polyp in size about 0.2X0.25CM was observed, removed with forceps. Mucosa of anastomosis was smooth, which was observed at distance about 6cm from anal verge. No lesion was found on rest patr of colonic mucosa. Engorged hemorrhoids were identified at anal canal.
