英文句子求解释！

Question

在Element of Style上的句子: More imporantly, as things turned out, he tucked in a reef. 这句话书上说要把More importantly改成more important.为什么不能用前者？（另外，如果这个和意思有关的话，摁这句话前面还有一句是: With the breeze freshening, he altered coruse to pass inside the island.）

这里说的是，尽量避免使用importantly这个词，而用其他词汇代替。

也就是说More important 和 More importantly这里在语法和语义上是一样的，用前者只是一个写作上的建议。

另外，如果你搜索[more important or importantly]会发现很多外国网站上对它们的讨论，

但所有native speakers都没有提到什么倒装，

所以本句，在现代英语体系里更习惯用importantly，但more/most+important也是可以做状语的，更多用于写作中。

另外说下倒装，如果这里是倒装的用法，首先就不应该有逗号，

其次，改成原始语序也应该是As things turned out more important

类似的句子例如，stupid as it sounds = it sounds stupid

而不是more important things turned out

important 修饰名词，importantly 修饰动词。在句子里的意思不是在修饰动词tuck in(卷起，收起)，而是把as the more important things turned out, he tucked in a reef 前面部分倒装了一下加强语气。
