there is a bag of apples in the bag。包里面有一大袋子苹果。

虽然后面苹果是复数，系动词连接的是a bag，是一个袋子，所以用is.

there are 2 minutes left: 虽然时间不可数，但是分钟是可数的，所以用系动词的复数形式

1）is——a bag of 一袋是单数，把全部苹果放里边也只能当整体看，
所以第一个是is
was亦可（就是不知老师会不会给你was的分。）
2）are——2 mins 两分钟是复数，这里指的是时数，是单位，而不是time，
所以应该用 are
