PASSAGE 9
A lot of people are out of shape. They say that they don't have time to exercise or to eat right. For this reason, many companies are now providing exercise centers and health classes for their workers.
Workers in both large and small companies can exercise during their lunch hour. For example,at Texas instruments Inc.,in Dallas, there is an exerxise center with fitness instructore and nutiition classes for the 22,000 employees. At one of Nike's locations, there is a weight machine, two exercise bicycles, and two rowing machines for the 300 employees.British Rail at Waterloo Station in London has an exercise room for its employees.
At Bonne Bell in Ohio, employees get thirty extra minutes at lunch time if they want to exerxise. And they can wear exercise clothes at work in the afternoon. If a Bonne Bell employee exercises four days a week for half a year,he or she gets $250 from the company!
It is important to be healthy and in shape. But don't wait for your company or school to start a health program. You can eat right and start your own exercise routine right now.
